The first preference of work visas is aimed at professionals who have extraordinary abilities in their field. To demonstrate such skills in the fields of sciences, arts, education or business, the foreigner must meet criteria predetermined by US immigration, which includes, but is not limited to, receiving national or international awards and media.
This is the second preference of work visas, which allows foreigners who have an Advanced Degree or Exceptional Ability in their field of endeavor the possibility of obtaining a “Green Card.”
In addition to the objective criteria, the applicants must demonstrate substantial merit / national importance of their proposed endeavor, as well as that they are well positioned to advance their field of endeavor in the U.S. Finally, the petitioner must prove that it would be beneficial to the United States to waive the requirements of a job offer and thus of a labor certification for their case.
The EB-3 is the third category of preferred employment-based immigrant visa for foreign nationals to obtain permanent residency in the US. Eligible candidates for the EB-3 green card include “skilled workers, professionals and other workers”.
Family-based visas allow a US citizen or permanent resident (depending on the case) to apply for residency benefits for their relatives.
